INTRODUCING STAY DOWN: OUR LATEST CAMPAIGN TO CLOSE THE CLASS PAY GAP

The Department for Opportunities (DO) has announced the release of STAY DOWN: a film about the horrors of workplace classism.

In Britain, there is a horrifying truth: professionals from working-class backgrounds are still paid less than their middle-class peers – often to the tune of thousands of pounds.

STAY DOWN will reveal the insidious force of classism in the workplace. The short film features Michael Socha (This is England) and Jonathan Hyde (Jumanji & Titanic).

The trailer above has been released to launch the campaign. The full film will premiere on 01/11/22 at the Roundhouse in London. A livestream of the even will be shown on www.staydown.co.uk and the social media channels of British Film Industry, Roundhouse and Department for Opportunities.

Following the premiere, STAY DOWN will be shown in cinemas nationwide, supported by an out-of-home advertising campaign. The campaign will appear in the Halloween edition of The Guardian.
